Privacy Policy

Thai Artisan respects your right to privacy. To ensure correct use of your information, and to prevent unauthorised access, we have specific security procedures in place.

When orders are placed and you provide sensitive information (for example a credit card number to make a purchase) the initial transaction takes place through Roman Carts' secure server. Once you proceed to checkout, Paypal processes only relevant information. Roman Cart and Paypal sites use secure servers that incorporate the latest encryption technology.

Thai Artisan will only access your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. This information will only be used for the purpose of processing your order. Any third party will not share it.

The only exception may be that Thai Artisan will use your e-mail address to advise you directly of our special offers, promotions or other activities, which may interest you. Of course you have the option to opt out of this.

Thai Artisan reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying existing customers of a revised privacy policy.

Guarantee.

If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order. If you are unhappy with the product Thai Artisan is able to guarantee you that we will give you full money back refund, to the total value of the goods supplied. We cannot offer refunds for the shipping costs, unless you receive incorrect goods due to our negligence in which case all shipping costs will be refunded.

Buyer accepts responsibility for shipping charges on returns and money transfer fees for refunds.

Delivery

Lead-times for each product may vary depending on stock levels, or the type of product purchased. Some items are made to order and have a longer lead-time. If the item is stocked and immediately available we aim to dispatch within 3 working days of receiving cleared payment. Otherwise the dispatch may take up to 21 working days.

Once we receive your order we will try to notify you within 48 hours if we expect to have any delays. You will then have the option of waiting for your order, or of having your payment refunded.

Shipping.

Thai Artisan ships to almost any country in the World. For purchases made via the Thai Artisan website the standard shipping costs are shown at the time of placing the order.

For orders up to 21kg Thailand Post economy airmail is used and to Europe and USA may take 14 to 21 days as typical.

For orders over 21kgs FEDEX International Couriers are used. Delivery should take 5 to 7 working days. For large bulky items, or big volume orders, sea-shipment may be the best alternative. This will be quoted separately to you. Shipment may take 1 to 2 months.

For deliveries within Thailand, we will consider the most cost effective and timely method of delivery. We will contact you directly to discuss the best option, and quote separately.

The freight or shipping companies are independent and outside of the control of Thai Artisan. All suggested freight days are best estimates and not guaranteed.

No postal insurance is offered.

International customs regulations explain that any goods imported into a country may be subject to import duties or tax. This cost is the sole responsibility of the recipient of the goods ie. the customer.

Product Quality

Thai Artisan sources hand-made artisan pieces from all over Thailand. Every piece is fully checked by Thai Artisan staff to ensure that they meet the best possible quality standard, before they are shipped. Please be aware that the natural materials used and the nature of being hand-made will mean that there may be a slight deviation in size or colour to the piece shown on the website.

Product Availability

The variety of types and the artisan nature of the products being sold means that sometimes the pieces listed on the website are no longer available. If this is the case you will be offered an alternative item or have the option of a refund.

Order Cancellation

The order is effective once confirmed and cannot be cancelled, unless in exceptional circumstances, and the refund or part refund will be at the sole discretion of Thai Artisan.

Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances outside of the control of the company affecting the processing or delivery of the order , Thai Artisan will inform the customer and revise or cancel the order to reflect the changed circumstances, and the customer will accept these changes.

Payment

For website customers the payment process is via the Roman Cart and Paypal system. For Thailand based buyers you may pay via direct bank transfer. Please contact us for more information. Volume buyers please contact us to discuss payment options.
